Undergraduate on-campus students will see a flat 2026-2027 tuition rate, representing a decrease of 55.8% from the 2025-2026 tuition. The new $15,000 annual tuition transparently reflects the cost of a 91´«Ã½ education without the complicated formula of tuition discounts. This will reduce the direct cost of attending 91´«Ã½ (which includes room, board and standard fees) by approximately 42.4% — using 2025-2026 costs, that would mean going from over $43,234 to approximately $24,920.

The new tuition price of $15,000 is in line with what on-campus undergraduate students actually pay because all on-campus undergraduate 91´«Ã½ students are considered for institutional scholarships.

The flat-rate $15,000 annual tuition makes 91´«Ã½ comparable to the cost of enrolling at a public institution. We also now offer one of the lowest tuition rates among private, liberal arts colleges.

In 2026-2027, families of current students can expect to pay the same out-of-pocket cost as they currently pay before accounting for federal aid.  Also, because the tuition base is now smaller, students should see smaller incremental increases during their enrollment at 91´«Ã½ in future years. That means families should see savings over what increases would have been had tuition not been reset. Financial aid packages will be adjusted in line with the new tuition, such that current students will pay the same net tuition and fees in 2026-2027 as they pay now.

91´«Ã½ has designed the overall new price to ensure that the out-of-pocket cost students pay starting in Fall 2026 will be equal to or less than they would have paid had the college not implemented the reset.   The financial aid office will be in contact with returning students with specifics on their particular situations.

Returning students will pay about the same amount under the new tuition price as they pay now. When students review their bills for the 2026-2027 academic year, they will see that the combined total amount of institutional scholarship and financial aid will be lower — but 91´«Ã½ will charge a proportionately lower amount for students’ tuition. So, while some of the figures on our bill will change, the net tuition cost — what students actually pay — will be about the same as it is now.

The new tuition price of $15,000 is effective beginning in Fall 2026 for both new and returning on-campus undergraduate students.

We anticipate that the actual price of attendance (net price) for a returning on-campus undergraduate student in 2026-2027 will remain roughly equal to the amount students are paying this academic year, assuming the student maintains their academic progress and that their family’s financial circumstances remain the same.

That said, both the actual billed tuition and the total financial aid for each returning student will be proportionally lower in 2026-2027 and going forward.

No. All on-campus undergraduate students will be enrolled at the new $15,000 annual tuition for the 2026-2027 year.

91´«Ã½ leadership is committed to keeping annual increases at the lowest rate possible. The 2026-2027 standard room and board cost will be approximately $9,006, which is a 3% increase over the 2025-2026 rate.

The cost of attendance for 2026-2027 will be posted for all students on our Cost of Attendance website.

In the very near future this fall, returning students will also receive a comparison worksheet showing their total costs (inclusive of tuition and fees, institutional  financial aid, and estimated indirect costs) for this school year compared to next school year.  Then beginning in early March 2026,  returning students will also receive their annual estimate per usual of the new 2026 tuition, fees, room and board charges, minus aid from all sources including federal aid, resulting in their expected payment for the 2026-2027 academic year. At the conclusion of the spring term after room and board selection, students whose estimates have changed will receive a more complete financial aid offer letter.

For returning students, the net price before federal aid will not be any higher than it is currently. If it is lower due to this change, you will pay the lower amount.

Current students will still receive a scholarship from 91´«Ã½ if necessary to make it so that they will not pay more than they currently do before federal aid is taken into account.  In other words, the total amount of institutional scholarships for each current student will be adjusted, to be in line with the new tuition.  Bottom line: your out-of-pocket cost will be roughly the same as what you are paying now, unless there are changes to your federal aid unrelated to our change in tuition.

Yes!  There are no changes to the endowed scholarship program.  Students can still apply in the spring each year for these donor provided scholarships.  If selected, students will receive the endowed scholarship in the following school year.

No. Campus jobs for students will still be available.

No. Eligibility for Federal Pell Grants is based on a family’s income and assets, as reported on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Federal student loans are available to most students who file the FAFSA

91´«Ã½â€™s policy on outside scholarships remains the same. In most cases, outside scholarships secured by the student do not reduce aid like federal work study and federal student loans but may, depending on the restrictions of the outside scholarship provider and the student’s cost of attendance minus their student aid index from the FAFSA.

For undergraduate, on-campus students, financial aid packages will be adjusted in line with the new tuition.

91´«Ã½ is resetting its published tuition price for on-campus undergraduate students beginning in Fall 2026. Students enrolling in this program in Spring 2026 will reflect the college’s 2025-2026 tuition and room and board charges. Their tuition and financial aid will then be adjusted in Fall 2026 in accordance with the new tuition pricing plan.

Up front institutional scholarships from 91´«Ã½ have been discontinued from 2026-27 for undergraduate students in favor of directly lowering the up-front tuition cost for everyone as much as possible. Federal student aid will still be available for those that qualify based on their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and some one time scholarship opportunities are available through our Endowed scholarship program and for those that invest in visiting campus during the school year prior to enrolling (certain conditions apply.)
